When The Times asked our General Manager James Robinson to comment on Notting Hill’s increasing popularity, he pointed to the great cafes and restaurants that have recently opened there. Eateries such as Granger and Co have played a big role in Notting Hill’s resurgence. They regularly attract crowds of hungry locals, who often queue in the rain to eat there. But James admits that he doesn’t share their devotion to Granger’s breakfast “I don’t know how crushed avocado on sourdough bread could ever make me stand in the rain for an hour, waiting for a table.”

While Chris Gittins, founder of Streets Alive (an organisation that advises on community events) is busy telling us all how to set up a street party in honour of the royal wedding, it seems that Antoine Lurot, founder of Lurot Brand, is taking the celebrations in his stride.

Antoine recently told The Times that he’s an old hand at organising street parties outside his home in lovely Bathurst Mews. However this year the Bathurst community is planning a street party with a royal theme. When the Telegraph asked leading London estate agents for their views on finding the perfect tenant, some of their answers were surprising.
